2nd day of raya

so far raya has been the normal uneventful string of lazy days it has always been. but not tonight, tonight, on the 2nd day of raya (well, technically 3rd morning of raya), me, lish, im, swen, amin, lan and fazly embarked on a special mission, a covert one so to speak.

it all began when swen came to maulana saying he has a stash of firecrackers. so we all decided no to waste anymore time and head over to padang sulaiman "bring the noise". after a while we decided to head down to the jogging park a.k.a tasik instead. we went over to jalan datuk sulaiman 5 and then slowly walked around the outer rim of the jogging park while every now and then lighting up and throwing a firecracker into the bushes. man, the sound was extremely loud. mainly because of the echo the surrounding hills provided.

when we reached the other side of the park, near the suspended bridge, we decided to go down and cut through the park and head back to the gate we entered the park from, that way we can avoid any security guard that came by.

so we crossed the small river in the middle of the park and headed uphill. i decided to light 2 firecracker into 2 seperate dustbins and 1 more in the drain. after the last one in the drain exploded, we heard what we had rally dreaded. it was loud and clear. the sound of the engine kick starting and the the throttle being engaged. we ran all started running away but after a very short while i was already out of breath, so i walked slowly beside lan who had already stopped running. swen was walking too, slightly in front of me and lan when the motorcycle came up and overtook all 3 of us. mean while the rest of the gang had already reached the gate and was out of the park. the 2 guards on the motorcycle stopped at the gate and waited for us there. swen reached the place first and was bombarded with a bunch of question which he didn't really answer. when me and lan reached him, all 3 of us just walked away from the guard.

the guard, while muttering something to his friend closed the gate and rode away.

man, its been a while since we did anything like that. that was fun :)
